RIKEN full-length cDNA clone and RNA-Seq data in
Sorghum bicolor
Sorghum bicolor is a highly productive crop, grown for food, feed, fiber and biofuel. Sorghum bicolor BTx623 genome was determined in 2009 and it is important to prepare a primary genomic resources for the further understanding of stress tolerance mechanism and applications to biomass engineering. This time, we constructed a normalized full-length cDNAs library from five growth stages of whole plant body and three growth stages of panicles and obtained 38,981 high quality expressed sequence tags (ESTs).
Additionally, we applied three tissue specific RNA-Seq analysis (panicles, seeds and stems) and these data support our newly defined genes existence.
